Marjorie and Steve Gadd teach both in the Huon Valley and at their studios at MacFie’s Music and Tuition, Hobart.
- Marjorie also teaches at the Tarremah school, Kingston, Tas and at Sacred Heart Geeveston.
- Steve also teaches private guitar student at the Cygnet primary sSchool one day per week.
Marjorie teaches violin, in classical and folk fiddle styles from elementary through to advanced. She also teaches beginners on a wide range of instruments including cello, viola, keyboard and guitar.
Steve teaches guitar, 5 string Banjo, mandolin and ukulele across a range of styles including, traditional fingerpicking and flat-picking, jazz, blues, bluegrass, folk styles and rock. Reading music, tab, theory and improvisation are all taught where required.
Both Steve and Marjorie teach on a three-term year basis. Each is in great demand as a teacher so it might help to book early in the year if you would like a premium spot in one of their teaching programs.
